This cohort of youth was charged with developing a recommendations to use social media to build community and police relations

Recommendations for using social media to improve relations between police and community:

Once the social media pages were launched the cohort hit resistance to peers and community members willingness to like or follow the pages set up for SFPD. Youth realized that many people found it difficult to not generalize police officers as all bad.  This cohort of youth spent time developing videos to help convey the need for app for community members to utilize when they want to report a crime anonymously. This all female group also created an instagram and Facebook accounts for SFPD.
