Community Safety Initiative

On the job training

The Community Safety Initiative, a partnership between Collective Impact and the San Francisco Human Rights Commission, provides internships for youth during the summer. Youth develop skills, build relationships and learn about careers in law enforcement, technology, hospitality and other industries struggling to address issues around diversity.

CSI is designed to provide quality opportunities, exposure and training for youth who are interested in exploring a variety of careers and offer support to achieve success. The Community Safety Initiative will provide an eight-week career exploration program to prepare youth for opportunities in multiple industries.

In addition to training and leadership development, selected candidates will receive the following:

  1. Stipend
